Troubleshooting Your Camera Power Issues
If your camera won't turn on, don’t worry! This guide will help you troubleshoot the problem based on your situation and camera model.
Step 1: Identify the situation
Did the issue happen after using your camera underwater, or during other situations? Knowing this helps us provide the right advice.
Step 2: Know your camera model
Please have your camera’s model name ready (for example: XS, ONE X2, GO 3, etc.). This helps us tailor the solution specifically for your device.
If the issue happened after underwater use
-
For most models (such as XS, XA, ONE X2, ONE X, ONE RS, ONE R, Ace Pro 2, Ace Pro, Ace):
Please open the USB cover and battery compartment and carefully check if there is any sign of water inside.- If you see water inside, we recommend sending your camera to our after-sales service center for inspection. You can start this process by typing or clicking “Request a Repair.”
- If there is no water inside but your camera still won’t turn on, try placing your camera in a container of dry rice for about 24 hours to dry it out.
- After drying, check if the camera powers on. If not, we suggest sending it for repair (“Request a Repair”) for further assistance.
-
For GO models (GO 3, GO 360, GO 2, GO):
These models typically cannot turn on after underwater exposure but can be repaired. Please type or click “Request a Repair” to begin the repair process.
If the issue happened after other situations

For most models (XS, XA, ONE X2, ONE X, ONE RS, ONE R, Ace Pro 2, Ace Pro, Ace):
First, please remove and reinsert the battery. Then, use a charger that fits the camera specifications to charge it for at least 10 minutes.- After charging, try turning on your camera. Pay attention to the LED indicator.
- If your camera turns on, it likely just needed more battery power. Keep charging if it happens again.
- If the LED flashes red, it means the battery is not recognized.
- If you have another battery, please try charging with it to test.
- If not, or if the problem persists, you may need to send the battery for inspection by typing “Request a Repair.”
- After charging, try turning on your camera. Pay attention to the LED indicator.
- If your camera still won’t turn on:
Please remove both the memory card and battery, reconnect the power, and try turning it on again.- If it turns on now, there may be an issue with the memory card or battery:
- Try backing up and formatting the memory card, or try another card.
- Try reinserting or replacing the battery.
- If it still cannot turn on, we recommend sending your camera and battery for inspection (“Request a Repair”).
- If it turns on now, there may be an issue with the memory card or battery:
-
For GO models (GO 3, GO 360, GO 2, GO):
Please charge your camera for at least 10 minutes with the official data cable. Then, perform a soft reset or force reboot by following our official [Reset Guide](%How to reset GO 3).
